Providing Individual Solutions for Every Client

As a professional therapist and counselor, I’ve always been proud to provide individual solutions for every client – because, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that every struggle deserves a unique solution.

No matter which services you need, from art therapy to cognitive behavioral approaches and more, there’s an option for everyone to heal and find their own strength. With this thought in mind, I am proud to stand by your side at every stage of the recovery process, and I’ll help you find new options to find your own inner strength and confidence.

Experienced Services for your Journey

Healing from past traumas or mental health conditions can seem like a challenge. However, there are plenty of steps that you can take to recover from the burdens you’ve been carrying. Luckily, I’m proud to deliver effective strategies based on experience and years of training.

In turn, this helps me ensure that my clients enjoy the most effective recovery options for their own needs. I am proud to take an all-encompassing approach to recovery and healing. Through my experience, I focus on delivering effective results that do so much more than just mask the pain. I’m here to help you work through the struggles and find your own inner strength and confidence, no matter what form that might take.

I’m especially focused on the interactions between physical and mental health. This strategy is something I firmly believe in and even integrate into my own lifestyle; after all, happiness and health often go hand in hand.

A Little About Me

I am currently on the Board of Directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness-Greater Houston. I joined this organization as another way to advocate for mental health awareness. NAMI is passionate about advocating, educating, and supporting those affected by mental illness. While also advocating for nondiscriminatory access to healthcare, housing, education, and employment for those with mental illness.

I am also proud to have joined the Advisory Board for The Council on Recovery in 2024. Mental health issues and substance abuse disorders typically go hand in hand. These Co-occurring disorders and substance abuse issues need to be spoken about more with removal of shame and stigma.

We live in a time where the need for mental health support is only growing and unfortunately that growth has outpaced the available resources in our community. This is a subject I am passionate about and one of the reasons I started Whitmire Counseling and Supervision.

On a personal note, I’ve always had a fascination for helping other people and learning how the human mind works. This has allowed me to grow my career and private practice. However, I also recognize the importance of taking time out for myself; I love getting out and about in my free time. I’m also an avid pilates and cardio workout lover – fitness means so much to me! However, from time to time, nothing’s nicer than just sitting back, putting my feet up, and enjoying a good historical drama.

If you’d like to learn more about how I can help, ple don’t hesitate to contact me. I can’t wait to hear from you!

I have enclosed a link to my resume if you would like to know more about my background and training.
